The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us, "Dajjal will emerge from a land in the east called Khurasan. He will be followed by people whose faces look like hammered shields."

حدثنا رسول الله ﷺ قال الدجال يخرج من أرض بالمشرق يقال لها خراسان يتبعه أقوام كأن وجوههم المجان المطرقة
[Hasan]. Ibn Majah also recorded it in Fitan, chapter on the trial of Dajjal and the emergence of Isa bin Maryam and the emergence of Yajuj and Majuj, no. 4072, from the hadith of Rawh bin Ubada with the same wording. Hakim graded it sahih (4/527), and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abdullah bin Shawzab also related it from Abu Tayah with the same wording, as found in Abu Yaala.
