Ibn Abbas was asked about a man who fasts during the day and prays through the night yet does not attend the Friday prayer or the congregational prayers. He replied, "He is in the Fire."Hannad reported this to us, saying Muharibi narrated to us from Layth from Mujahid.The meaning of this report is that he does not attend the congregation and the Friday prayer out of aversion to them, making light of their due, and treating them with neglect.
