The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The five daily prayers and Friday prayer to the next Friday prayer are an expiation for whatever sins occur between them, so long as major sins are not committed."
Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter "The Five Prayers and Friday to Friday..." etc., hadith no. 233, from Ali bin Hajar, with the same wording. On this subject there is also a narration from Jabir [Muslim, no. 668], and from Anas, perhaps referring to the hadith of the Night Journey [Bukhari, nos. 349, 1636, 3342, and Muslim, no. 163], and from Hanzala al-Usaydi the scribe [Ahmad: 4/267].
