The Prophet ﷺ said, "Exchange gifts, for gifts remove ill feelings from the heart. And let no neighbor look down upon what her neighbor offers her, even if it be the hoof of a sheep."
حدثنا أزهر بن مروان البصري حدثنا محمد بن سواء حدثنا أبو معشر عن سعيد
عن النبي ﷺ قال تهادوا فإن الهدية تذهب وحر الصدر ولا تحقرن جارة لجارتها ولو شق فرسن شاة
[Its isnad is daif. Ahmad narrated it (2:405) through Abu Mashar, and it is daif. The hadith "Let no female neighbor belittle a gift to her neighbor, even if it is a sheep's hoof" has a corroborating witness in Bukhari, no. 6017, and Muslim, no. 1030.]
