The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fever is from the blast of Hell, so cool it down with water."Harun bin Ishaq narrated to us, Abdah narrated to us, from Hisham bin Urwa, from Fatimah bint Munzir, from Asma bint Abu Bakr, from the Prophet ﷺ, a similar report.
حدثنا هارون بن إسحق الهمداني حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن الحمى من فيح جهنم فأبردوها بالماء حدثنا هارون بن إسحق حدثنا عبدة عن هشام بن عروة عن فاطمة بنت المنذر عن أسماء بنت أبي بكر عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim].
