The Prophet ﷺ said, "Nothing weighs heavier in the believer's scale on the Day of Judgment than good character, and Allah detests the obscene and foul-mouthed person."
حدثنا ابن أبي عمر حدثنا سفيان حدثنا عمرو بن دينار عن ابن أبي مليكة عن يعلى بن مملك عن أم الدرداء
أن النبي ﷺ قال ما شيء أثقل في ميزان المؤمن يوم القيامة من خلق حسن وإن الله ليبغض الفاحش البذيء
[Sahih] Its chain is hasan, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1921. Abu Dawud also narrated it, no. 4799, from the hadith of Umm Darda through the same route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1920.There are also reports on this subject from Ayesha [Abu Dawud, no. 4798], Abu Hurairah [coming up, no. 2004], Anas [Abu Yaala, 6/53, no. 3298, and with a different wording, Ibn Majah, no. 4181], and Usama bin Sharik [Ibn Majah, no. 3636].
