The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever defends the honor of his brother, Allah will shield his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا أحمد بن محمد أخبرنا ابن المبارك عن أبي بكر النهشلي عن مرزوق أبي بكر التيمي عن أم الدرداء
عن النبي ﷺ قال من رد عن عرض أخيه رد الله عن وجهه النار يوم القيامة
[Hasan] Ahmad reported it: 6/450, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with this wording. Marzuq was followed by Shahr bin Hawshab, in Ahmad: 6/449, and the hadith has corroborating narrations. There is also a report on this subject from Asma bint Yazid [Ahmad: 6/461].
