I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The finest act of dutifulness is for a man to maintain ties with those whom his father loved."
حدثنا أحمد بن محمد أخبرنا عبد الله بن المبارك أخبرنا حيوة بن شريح أخبرني الوليد بن أبي الوليد عن عبد الله بن دينار
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن أبر البر أن يصل الرجل أهل ود أبيه
Muslim also reported it in the Book of Righteousness and Maintaining Ties, chapter on the merit of maintaining ties with the friends of one's father and mother and the like, hadith 2552, from the hadith of Walid bin Abu Walid, with the same chain.On this topic, there is also a narration from Abu Usayd [Abu Dawud, hadith 5142] and Ibn Majah, hadith 2664.
