[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Manners, Chapter on Honoring Parents, no. 5139, from the hadith of Bahz, with the same wording. Hakim graded it sahih (3/642, 4/150), and Dhahabi agreed with him.On this subject there are also reports from Abu Hurairah [Bukhari, no. 5971, and Muslim, no. 2548], Abdullah bin Amr [to come, no. 1899], Ayesha [Hakim, 4/150, 175], and Abu Darda [to come, no. 1900].
