I read in the Torah that the blessing of food lies in performing ablution after it. I mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of what I had read in the Torah.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The blessing of food lies in performing ablution before it and performing ablution after it."
حدثنا يحيى بن موسى حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير حدثنا قيس بن الربيع قال ح و حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا عبد الكريم الجرجاني عن قيس بن الربيع المعنى واحد عن أبي هاشم يعني الرماني عن زاذان
قرأت في التوراة أن بركة الطعام الوضوء بعده فذكرت ذلك للنبي ﷺ فأخبرته بما قرأت في التوراة فقال رسول الله ﷺ بركة الطعام الوضوء قبله والوضوء بعده
Its isnad is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Foods, chapter on washing the hand before eating, hadith no. 3761, from the hadith of Qays bin Rabi, with this wording. Ahmad said, "It is a munkar hadith, only Qays bin Rabi narrated it." Abu Hatim said, "This is a munkar hadith," and Dhahabi, Iraqi, and others declared it daif.Qays bin Rabi is daif, the majority declared him daif with regard to his memory.
