The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you buys meat, let him make plenty of broth from it. If he does not find meat, he will at least get broth, and broth is one of the two kinds of meat."

Sourcing, its chain is daif. Hakim reported it in 4/130 through Muslim bin Ibrahim, with the same wording, and graded it sahih. Dhahabi commented on this, saying, "Muhammad was declared daif by Ibn Main." Muhammad bin Fadaa is daif, and his father is unknown, as stated in Taqrib and elsewhere.There is also a report on this topic from Abu Dharr [coming up at 1833].
