The Prophet ﷺ forbade eating an animal that has been tied up and shot at as a target, drinking the milk of an animal that feeds on filth, and drinking directly from the mouth of a waterskin.Muhammad bin Bashshar said, Ibn Abu Adi narrated to us from Saeed bin Abu Aruba, from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا معاذ بن هشام حدثني أبي عن قتادة عن عكرمة
أن النبي ﷺ نهى عن المجثمة ولبن الجلالة وعن الشرب من في السقاء قال محمد بن بشار وحدثنا ابن أبي عدي عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس عن النبي ﷺ نحوه
[Sahih]. Abu Dawud also narrated it in the Book of Drinks, chapter on drinking from the mouth of the waterskin, no. 3719, from the hadith of Qatada, and Nasai, no. 4453, from the hadith of Hisham Dastawai, both with the same wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1363, and Hakim said it meets the standard of Bukhari, 2/34, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
