The Prophet ﷺ said, "Blessing descends in the middle of the food, so eat from its sides and do not eat from its middle."
حدثنا أبو رجاء حدثنا جرير عن عطاء بن السائب عن سعيد بن جبير
أن النبي ﷺ قال البركة تنزل وسط الطعام فكلوا من حافتيه ولا تأكلوا من وسطه
[Hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Foods, Chapter on Eating from the Top of the Dish, no. 3772, and Ibn Majah, no. 3277, from the hadith of Ata bin Saaib with this wording. Shubah also narrated it from Ata with this wording, in Abu Dawud, no. 3772, and elsewhere.There is also a narration on this subject from Ibn Umar [I could not find it], and Ahmad narrated it, 7/2, no. 4514, with different wording.
