A mouse fell into some clarified butter and died. The Prophet ﷺ was asked about it, and he said, "Throw it out along with what is around it, and eat the rest."
حدثنا سعيد بن عبد الرحمن المخزومي وأبو عمار قالا حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عبيد الله عن ابن عباس
أن فأرة وقعت في سمن فماتت فسئل عنها النبي ﷺ فقال ألقوها وما حولها وكلوه
Bukhari also narrated it in the Book of Slaughtered Animals and Game, chapter, "If a mouse falls into solid or melted clarified butter," hadith 5538, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna with the same wording.On this subject, there is also a report from Abu Hurairah [Abu Dawud, hadith 3842, and Bukhari mentioned it with a suspended chain, hadith 5538].The hadith of Maamar was mentioned by Bukhari, hadith 5538, following the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, as a rebuttal to Maamar.
