The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best thing with which gray hair is dyed is henna and katam."
حدثنا سويد بن نصر أخبرنا ابن المبارك عن الأجلح عن عبد الله بن بريدة عن أبي الأسود
عن النبي ﷺ قال إن أحسن ما غير به الشيب الحناء والكتم
Sourcing, sahih. Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Clothing, chapter on dyeing with henna, hadith 3622, and Nasai, 8/139, hadith 5081, from the hadith of Ajlah, and Abu Dawud, hadith 4205, from the hadith of Ibn Burayda, through the same chain, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith 1475.
