Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the lavatory, he would remove his ring.
حدثنا إسحق بن منصور أخبرنا سعيد بن عامر والحجاج بن منهال قالا حدثنا همام عن ابن جريج عن الزهري
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا دخل الخلاء نزع خاتمه
[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Nasai narrated it in the Book of Adornment, Chapter on Removing the Ring Before Entering the Toilet, 8:178, hadith no. 5216, from the hadith of Saeed bin Amir. Abu Dawud narrated it, hadith no. 19, and Ibn Majah narrated it, hadith no. 303, from the hadith of Hammam bin Yahya. Ibn Jurayj used ambiguous transmission wording (an'ana).
