[Its isnad is hasan]. Nasai narrated it in the Book of Adornment, chapter on the hadith of Abu Hurairah and the disagreement over Qatada, 8/170, hadith 5190, from Yusuf bin Hammad, in a longer form. This hadith has many corroborating narrations.On this same topic, there are narrations from Ali (Muslim, hadith 480), Ibn Umar (coming up at 1741, and Nasai, hadith 5167), Abu Hurairah (Bukhari, hadith 5864, and Muslim, hadith 2089), and Muawiya (perhaps referring to the hadith of Abu Dawud, hadith 4239).
