The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Blessing in horses lies in the chestnut ones."

[Its chain is hasan]. Abu Dawud also narrated it in jihad, in the chapter on which colors of horses are preferred, hadith no. 2545, from the hadith of Shayban, in a similar manner.
