Samura claimed that he fashioned his sword after the sword of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and it was of the Hanafi style.
حدثنا محمد بن شجاع البغدادي حدثنا أبو عبيدة الحداد عن عثمان بن سعد عن ابن سيرين قال صنعت سيفي على سيف
وزعم سمرة أنه صنع سيفه على سيف رسول الله ﷺ وكان حنفيا
[Its isnad is daif] Ahmad narrated it in 20/5 from the hadith of Uthman bin Saad the scribe, through the same route, and he is daif as stated in Taqrib and elsewhere.
