The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not initiate the greeting of peace with the Jews or Christians, and when you meet one of them on the road, force him to its narrowest part."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا تبدءوا اليهود والنصارى بالسلام وإذا لقيتم أحدهم في الطريق فاضطروهم إلى أضيقه
Reference. Muslim also narrated it, in the Book of Salam, chapter on the prohibition against initiating greetings to the People of the Book and how to respond to them, hadith 2167, from Qutayba, with the same wording.Also narrated on this subject from Ibn Umar (to come, 1603), Anas (to come, 3310), and Abu Basra Ghifari (Ahmad 6/398, and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, hadith 1102, and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, hadith 388).
