I gave my pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with a group of women. He said to us, "In whatever you are able and capable of."I said, "Allah and His Messenger are more merciful toward us than we are to ourselves."I said, "Messenger of Allah, take our pledge."Sufyan said, she meant, shake our hands. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "My word to a hundred women is the same as my word to a single woman."
[Its chain is sahih]. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Jihad, chapter on the pledge of women, no. 2874, and Nasai in 7/149, no. 4186, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, with the same chain, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 14.On this subject there is also a hadith from Ayesha [Bukhari, no. 5288, as a suspended report, and Muslim, no. 1866], from Abdullah bin Amr [Ahmad, 2/196], and from Asma bint Yazid [to come, no. 3307].The hadith of Malik is in Muwatta, 2/982 (Yahya's recension).
