The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the jizyah from the Magians of Bahrain, Umar took it from the people of Persia, and Uthman took it from the Persians.I asked Muhammad about this, and he said, "It is reported by Malik from Zuhri from the Prophet ﷺ."
