We were examined by the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Qurayzah. Whoever had grown pubic hair was killed, and whoever had not was let go. I was among those who had not yet grown any, so I was set free.
حدثنا هناد حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير
عرضنا على النبي ﷺ يوم قريظة فكان من أنبت قتل ومن لم ينبت خلي سبيله فكنت ممن لم ينبت فخلي سبيلي
[Sahih]. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Legal Punishments, Chapter on Those Upon Whom the Punishment Is Not Obligatory, no. 2541, through him, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 1045. Abu Dawud narrated it, no. 4404, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri as narrated by Waki, and Nasai, no. 4984, from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Umayr through him.
