The Prophet ﷺ said, "A woman may grant protection on behalf of the people, meaning she may grant safe-conduct that is binding upon the Muslims."

عن النبي ﷺ قال إن المرأة لتأخذ للقوم يعني تجير على المسلمين
Takhrij, hasan. Ahmad reported it, 2/365, from the hadith of Kathir bin Zayd, with the same wording.There is also a version on this subject narrated from Umm Hani, coming after this, 2734.The hadith of Umm Hani is a sahih hadith. Khalid bin Harith narrated it from Ibn Abu Dhib, with the same wording, at greater length (Nasai in Kubra, no. 8684). Bukhari and Muslim reported it from the hadith of Malik, from Salim Abu Nadr, from Abu Mura, with the same wording, as will come, no. 2734.The hadith, "The protection of the Muslims is one... etc." will come at 2127.
