The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill snakes, and kill the two-striped snake and the short-tailed one, for they cause blindness and miscarriage."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا الليث عن ابن شهاب
قال رسول الله ﷺ اقتلوا الحيات واقتلوا ذا الطفيتين والأبتر فإنهما يلتمسان البصر ويسقطان الحبلى
Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Bukhari narrated it in Bad al-Khalq, in the chapter on Allah's saying, "and dispersed therein every kind of creature" [Baqarah 2:164], no: 3297, and Muslim narrated it, no: 2233, both from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri with this wording.This chapter also contains narrations from Ibn Masud [Abu Dawud, no: 5249], Ayesha [Bukhari, no: 1829, and Muslim, no: 1198], Abu Hurairah [Tahawi in Mushkil Athar, 4/95], and Sahl bin Saad [Abu Dawud, no: 5248].
