Umar bin Khattab reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A father is not to be killed in retaliation for his child."

Darussalam

[Its chain is daif] Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Blood Money, Chapter "A Father Is Not Killed for His Child," hadith no. 2662, from the hadith of Abu Khalid Ahmar with this chain. Muhammad bin Ajlan also narrated it from Amr bin Shuayb with this chain, and the hadith has many corroborating narrations.
