Anas bin Malik reported,
When the Prophet ﷺ wished to relieve himself, he would not lift his garment until he was close to the ground.

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Darimi narrated it: 1/171, no. 672, from the hadith of Abdul-Salam with the same wording, and Abu Dawud mentioned it without a full chain, no. 14. There is another route for it with Bayhaqi: 1/96, from the hadith of Amash from Qasim bin Muhammad from Ibn Umar with the same wording. Amash was a mudallis and narrated with an "an" formula, and he did not hear it from Anas 
. There is also a daif route for it with Ismaili, concerning which Daraqutni said, "Not established."
