The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever revives dead land, it belongs to him, and an unjust planter has no right."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار أخبرنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي أخبرنا أيوب عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
عن النبي ﷺ قال من أحيى أرضا ميتة فهي له وليس لعرق ظالم حق
[Its isnad is sahih]. Nasai also narrated it in Al-Kubra, no. 5757, from the hadith of Abdul-Wahhab Thaqafi through the same route.
