His father had given one of his sons a slave as a gift, and he came to the Prophet ﷺ to have him witness it.The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Have you given each of your children a gift like the one you have given this son?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then take it back."

أن أباه نحل ابنا له غلاما فأتى النبي ﷺ يشهده فقال أكل ولدك نحلته مثل ما نحلت هذا قال لا قال فاردده
[Hasan] Ahmad narrated it, 13/5, from Ismail bin Ulaya with the same chain. Abu Dawud also narrated it, 3517, from the hadith of Qatada, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, 644.On this topic, there are also narrations from Sharid [Ibn Majah, 2496, and the author alluded to it], Abu Rafi [Bukhari, 2258, 1977, 6980, and the author alluded to it], and Anas [Ibn Hibban, 1153, and Tirmidhi alluded to it].The hadith of Isa bin Yunus was narrated by Ibn Hibban, 1153.
