The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has taken full possession of it."Ibn Abbas said, "I consider everything else to be like that."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن عمرو بن دينار عن طاوس
أن النبي ﷺ قال من ابتاع طعاما فلا يبعه حتى يستوفيه قال ابن عباس وأحسب كل شيء مثله
Agreed upon (Bukhari and Muslim). Muslim narrated it in the Book of Sales, chapter on the invalidity of selling goods before taking possession, hadith no. 1525, from Qutayba, and Bukhari, hadith no. 2135, from the hadith of Amr bin Dinar with the same wording.On this subject there are also narrations from Jabir [Muslim, no. 1529], Ibn Umar [Bukhari, no. 2136, and Muslim, no. 1526], and Abu Hurairah [Muslim, no. 1528].
