The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The buyer and seller each have the option to cancel the sale as long as they have not parted, unless it is a transaction with a stipulated option. It is not permissible for one of them to part from his companion out of fear that the other will request to cancel the deal."
أخبرنا بذلك قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا الليث بن سعد عن ابن عجلان
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال البيعان بالخيار ما لم يتفرقا إلا أن تكون صفقة خيار ولا يحل له أن يفارق صاحبه خشية أن يستقيله
[Hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Business Transactions, Chapter on the Option of the Two Parties in a Sale, no. 3456, and Nasai, no. 4488, both from Qutayba with this chain, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 620.
