Umm Sulaym bint Milhan came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, Allah is not too shy to teach the truth. Does a woman have to perform a ritual bath if she sees in her dream what a man sees?"He replied, "Yes, if she sees the fluid, she must bathe."Umm Salama said, "I said to her, 'You have disgraced women, Umm Sulaym!'"
حدثنا ابن أبي عمر حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه عن زينب بنت أبي سلمة
جاءت أم سليم بنت ملحان إلى النبي ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إن الله لا يستحيي من الحق فهل على المرأة تعني غسلا إذا هي رأت في المنام مثل ما يرى الرجل قال نعم إذا هي رأت الماء فلتغتسل قالت أم سلمة قلت لها فضحت النساء يا أم سليم
Agreed upon by both, and Muslim narrated it in Hayd, chapter on the obligation of ghusl for a woman upon the emission of semen, hadith 313, from Muhammad bin Abu Umar. Bukhari narrated it in Ghusl, chapter on when a woman has a wet dream, hadith 282, from the hadith of Hisham with the same wording.On this subject there are also narrations from Umm Salim [Malik in Muwatta 1/51 and Ahmad 6/376], Khawlah [Ibn Majah, hadith 602], Ayesha [Muslim, hadith 314], and Anas [Muslim, hadith 312].
