The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most complete of believers in faith are those with the best character, and the best of you are those who treat their wives with the best character."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن محمد بن عمرو حدثنا أبو سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ أكمل المؤمنين إيمانا أحسنهم خلقا وخياركم خياركم لنسائهم خلقا
Its isnad is hasan.Abu Dawud also narrated it, no. 4682, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr Laythi through the same route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1926, as did Hakim, 1/3, and Dhahabi. The hadith has very many corroborating witnesses, and it has another route in Ibn Hibban, no. 1311.
