The Prophet ﷺ used to divide his time among his wives fairly, and he would say, "O Allah, this is my division in what I am able to control, so do not blame me for what You control and I do not."
حدثنا ابن أبي عمر حدثنا بشر بن السري حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة عن عبد الله بن يزيد
أن النبي ﷺ كان يقسم بين نسائه فيعدل ويقول اللهم هذه قسمتي فيما أملك فلا تلمني فيما تملك ولا أملك
[Its isnad is sahih]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on Dividing Time Fairly Among Wives, Hadith 2134, and Ibn Majah, Hadith 1971, and others narrated it, through Hammad bin Salama with this chain. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, Hadith (Ihsan) 4192, as did Hakim, 2/187, and Dhahabi.Hammad bin Zayd and Ibn Ulaya narrated it as a mursal report, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, with this chain, but this does not affect its status, Allah willing.
