Anas bin Malik reported,
A funeral procession passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the people praised the deceased highly. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It has been confirmed." Then he said, "You are Allah's witnesses on earth."

مر على رسول الله ﷺ بجنازة فأثنوا عليها خيرا فقال رسول الله ﷺ وجبت ثم قال أنتم شهداء الله في الأرض

[Sahih]. Ahmad narrated it, 3/179, from the hadith of Humayd Tawil with the same chain, and Bukhari narrated it, no. 1367, and Muslim, no. 949, from the hadith of Anas
