سألت جابر بن عبد الله عن المسح على الخفين فقال السنة يا ابن أخي قال وسألته عن المسح على العمامة فقال أمس الشعر الماء
[Its chain is hasan] Bayhaqi narrated it (1/61) through the hadith of Abdul-Rahman bin Ishaq Madani with the same chain, and Imam Malik alluded to it in Muwatta (1/35) without giving its chain, and its wording differs. Abu Ubayda bin Muhammad's hadith is hasan according to the more correct view.
