The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the imam recites 'not of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who have gone astray' [Fatihah 1:7], say 'Ameen,' for the angels say 'Ameen' and the imam says 'Ameen.' Whoever's 'Ameen' coincides with the 'Ameen' of the angels will have his past sins forgiven."
أخبرنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال حدثنا يزيد بن زريع قال حدثني معمر عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا قال الإمام {غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين} فقولوا آمين فإن الملائكة تقول آمين وإن الإمام يقول آمين فمن وافق تأمينه تأمين الملائكة غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
[Sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in "Establishing the Prayers, Chapter on Saying Ameen Aloud," hadith no. 852, from the hadith of Mamar, with this chain. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 999.
