The Prophet ﷺ saw me placing my left hand over my right during the prayer, so he took my right hand and placed it over my left.

رآني النبي ﷺ وقد وضعت شمالي على يميني في الصلاة فأخذ بيميني فوضعها على شمالي

[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on placing the right hand over the left in prayer, hadith 755, from the hadith of Hushaym in this manner, and he explicitly stated that he heard it directly in the version found in Ibn Majah, hadith 811, and it is also found in the Kubra, hadith 962. Hafiz graded the hadith hasan in Fath al-Bari. It has another route which I mentioned in Nail al-Maqsud.
