The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the House along with Usama bin Zayd, Bilal, and Uthman bin Talha, and they shut the door behind them. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ opened it, I was the first to enter. I met Bilal and asked him whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had prayed inside. He replied, "Yes, he prayed between the two Yemeni columns."
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Hajj, Chapter, "Locking the House and Praying in Any Part of It One Wishes," etc., no. 393/1329, no. 1598, and Muslim in the Book of Hajj, Chapter, "The Desirability of Entering the Kaaba for the Pilgrim and Others"... from Qutayba, with this wording, and it is also in Kubra, no. 771.
