I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which deed is most beloved to Allah the Exalted?"He replied, "Prayer at its proper time, kindness to parents, and striving in the path of Allah."
أخبرنا عمرو بن علي قال حدثنا يحيى قال حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرني الوليد بن العيزار قال سمعت أبا عمرو الشيباني يقول حدثنا صاحب هذه الدار وأشار إلى دار
سألت رسول الله ﷺ أي العمل أحب إلى الله تعالى قال الصلاة على وقتها وبر الوالدين والجهاد في سبيل الله عز وجل
Bukhari narrated it in "The Book of Prayer Times," in the chapter on the merit of praying at its proper time, hadith no. 527, and Muslim in "The Book of Faith," in the chapter explaining that faith in Allah the Exalted is the best of deeds, hadith no. 139/85, from the hadith of Shubah with the same chain, and it is also in Kubra, hadith no. 1580.
