Abu Hurairah reported,

I knew that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast on certain days, so I prepared a date drink in a gourd vessel and timed it for him to break his fast with. When evening came, I brought it to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, I knew you were fasting today, so I timed this drink for you to break your fast with."He said, "Bring it close to me, Abu Hurayrah."I handed it up to him, and there it was, fizzing. He said, "Take this and throw it against the wall, for this is the drink of one who believes neither in Allah nor in the Last Day."Among the proofs they relied upon was the practice of Umar bin Khattab .

أخبرنا علي بن حجر قال حدثنا عثمان بن حصن قال حدثنا زيد بن واقد عن خالد بن حسين قال سمعت

أبا هريرة يقول

علمت أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصوم في بعض الأيام التي كان يصومها فتحينت فطره بنبيذ صنعته في دباء فلما كان المساء جئته أحملها إليه فقلت يا رسول الله إني قد علمت أنك تصوم في هذا اليوم فتحينت فطرك بهذا النبيذ فقال أدنه مني يا أبا هريرة فرفعته إليه فإذا هو ينش فقال خذ هذه فاضرب بها الحائط فإن هذا شراب من لا يؤمن بالله ولا باليوم الآخر ومما احتجوا به فعل عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه
