The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make this supplication, "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, I seek refuge in You from the trial of the false messiah Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death."
قال الحارث بن مسكين قراءة عليه وأنا أسمع عن ابن القاسم عن مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يدعو يقول في دعائه اللهم إني أعوذ بك من عذاب جهنم وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر وأعوذ بك من فتنة المسيح الدجال وأعوذ بك من فتنة المحيا والممات
Sahih. Ahmad reported it: 1/258, from the hadith of Malik through him, and it is in Kubra, hadith no. 7953.
