The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drags his garment," or he said, "the one who drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection."
أخبرنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا الليث عن نافع ح وأنبأنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال حدثنا بشر قال حدثنا عبيد الله عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ من جر ثوبه أو قال إن الذي يجر ثوبه من الخيلاء لم ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة
Muslim narrated it in "Clothing," chapter "The Prohibition of Dragging One's Garment Out of Arrogance," etc., hadith no. 42/2085, from Qutayba, and Bukhari narrated it in "Clothing," chapter "Whoever Drags His Garment Out of Arrogance," hadith no. 5791, as a suspended narration, from the hadith of Layth bin Saad, with the same wording.
