A woman came to me seeking a religious ruling, so I told her, "Here is Ibn Umar." She followed him to ask him, and I followed her to hear what he would say.She said, "Give me a ruling regarding silk."He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it."

[sahih] It is in Kubra, no. 9593. Nasai narrated it in Kubra, no. 9594, with a sahih chain, from Ali Bariqi, in a similar meaning, as a stopped narration (mawquf), and this prohibition applies only to men, not to women.
