Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the lavatory, he would remove his ring.
أخبرنا محمد بن إسمعيل بن إبراهيم عن سعيد بن عامر عن همام عن ابن جريج عن الزهري
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا دخل الخلاء نزع خاتمه
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi recorded it, Clothing, the chapter on wearing a ring on the right hand, no. 1746, from the hadith of Saeed bin Amir, transmitted through him, and he said, hasan sahih ghareeb. It is also found in Al-Kubra, no. 9542. Its defect is the tadlis-style narration (ana'ana) of Ibn Jurayj, as previously mentioned, no. 4008.
