The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wearing silk, wearing gold rings, and drinking from green-glazed jars.
أخبرنا يوسف بن حماد المعني البصري قال حدثنا عبد الوارث عن أبي التياح قال حدثنا حفص الليثي قال أشهد
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن لبس الحرير وعن التختم بالذهب وعن الشرب في الحناتم
[Sahih] Tirmidhi collected it in the Book of Clothing, chapter on the dislike of gold rings, hadith 1738, from Yusuf bin Hammad, with this chain, and he said, "hasan." It is also found in Kubra, hadith 9500, and its chain is hasan.Abu Tayah's name was Yazid bin Humayd, and Hafs is Ibn Abdullah.
