He forbade the use of crimson saddle cushions, wearing silk garments mixed with cotton, and gold rings.

نهى عن مياثر الأرجوان ولبس القسي وخاتم الذهب
Its isnad is sahih. Previously mentioned, no. 1041, and it is in Kubra, no. 9496. Bazzar (Bahr Zakhkhar: 2/175, no. 550) also narrated it from Hisham bin Hassan, from him. Muhammad is Ibn Sirin.
