We prayed during the time of Umar bin Abdul-Aziz, then we went to Anas bin Malik and found him praying. When he finished, he asked us, "Have you prayed?"We replied, "We have prayed Dhuhr."He said, "I have just prayed Asr."We said to him, "You have prayed it early."He responded, "I only pray as I saw my companions pray."

صلينا في زمان عمر بن عبد العزيز ثم انصرفنا إلى أنس بن مالك فوجدناه يصلي فلما انصرف قال لنا صليتم قلنا صلينا الظهر قال إني صليت العصر فقولوا له عجلت فقال إنما أصلي كما رأيت أصحابي يصلون
