[Its chain is daif] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Dress, chapter on the prohibition of combing the hair except occasionally, Hadith 1756, from the hadith of Isa bin Yunus, with this same chain, and he said, "Hasan sahih." It also appears in Al-Kubra, Hadith 93315. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, Hadith 1480. One of the Maghribi scholars graded it daif, and part of it has a corroborating witness. See Hadith 5060. Hisham bin Hassan reported it with "an" without specifying direct hearing, but the following hadith, 5061, suffices in its place.
