The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself."The Qadi, meaning Ibn Kassar, said, I heard Abdul-Samad Bukhari say, "Hafs bin Umar, who narrates from Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi, I do not know him, unless the waw has been dropped from Hafs bin Amr Rabali, who is well known for narrating from the Basrans and is reliable. He mentioned him in this report within the hadith of Mansur bin Saad in the chapter on the description of the Muslim."I heard him say, "I do not know of anyone who narrated the marfu hadith of Anas bin Malik, 'I have been commanded to fight the people,' with the additional wording, 'and they face our qiblah, eat our slaughtered animals, and pray our prayer,' from Humayd Tawil except Abdullah bin Mubarak and Yahya bin Ayub Basri. It is in this section, in the chapter on whom the people are to be fought."
أخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال أنبأنا عبد الله عن شعبة عن قتادة
أن النبي ﷺ قال لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه قال القاضي يعني ابن الكسار سمعت عبد الصمد البخاري يقول حفص بن عمر الذي يروي عن عبد الرحمن بن مهدي لا أعرفه إلا أن يكون سقط الواو من حفص بن عمرو الربالي المشهور بالرواية عن البصريين وهو ثقة ذكره في هذا الخبر في حديث منصور بن سعد في باب صفة المسلم سمعته يقول لا أعلم روى حديث أنس بن مالك المرفوع أمرت أن أقاتل الناس بزيادة قوله واستقبلوا قبلتنا وأكلوا ذبيحتنا وصلوا صلاتنا عن حميد الطويل إلا عبد الله بن المبارك ويحيى بن أيوب البصري وهو في هذا الجزء في باب ما يقاتل الناس
